 . Goal 16 is devoted to the promotion of peaceful societies and the rule o
 f law and target 16.2 sets the goal of ending abuse\, exploitation\, traff
 icking and all forms of violence against and torture of children. In his i
 naugural lecture as Wolfson Professor of Criminology\, Prof. Manuel Eisner
  will outline the scientific knowledge needed to meet this challenge.
