DESCRIPTION:It is widely known that unsteady combustion flame front genera
tes acoustic\, vortical and\nentropic disturbances. Previous research show
s that an interaction between unsteady heat\nrelease and fluid disturbance
near the flame front may result in\, to some extent\, intrinsic\nthermoac
oustic instability. Meanwhile\, interactions between acoustic modes of com
bustor\ncavity and unsteady heat release may generate combustor-induced th
ermoacoustic\ninstabilities. Their features have been comprehensively anal
yzed in a uniform-radius\ncombustor with a stationary flame front. The aut
hor gives mathematical modeling of a\nnonuniform-radius combustor where th
e flame front is moving. Three tasks are addressed\nin this talk. Firstly\
 , quasi-one-dimensional mathematical modeling of disturbance\ngeneration o
f acoustic\, entropic and vortical modes caused by unsteady heat release a
re\ngiven under the consideration of flow separation due to nonuniform-rad
ius combustor.\nSecondly\, their effects on the intrinsic and combustor-in
duced thermoacoustic instabilities\nare mathematically modeled. Finally\,
attentions are imposed on the interactions between\nthese two types of the
 rmoacoustic oscillations.
