 sor of Surgery and Health Management & Policy at the University of Michiga
 n. As part of his James IV Travelling Fellowship\, designed to promote com
 munication and collaboration in the surgical community\, Justin will explo
 re the trade-offs between mechanisms for improving patient outcomes as wel
 l as the gaps in our current approaches for improving patient outcomes in 
 surgery.\n\nJustin B. Dimick\, MD\, MPH is Professor of Surgery and Health
  Management & Policy at the University of Michigan. He serves as the Chief
  of the Division of Minimally Invasive Surgery and Associate Chair for Str
 ategy & Finance. Dr Dimick also has an active research program and serves 
 as Director of the Centre for Healthcare Outcomes & Policy. His research p
 rogram includes 1) evaluating Medicare policy\, including value-based purc
 hasing\, bundled payment programs\, and accountable care organizations\, a
 nd 2) implementation of large-scale quality improvement programs using vid
 eo-based coaching to improve surgeon skill and technique.\n\nThe lecture w
 ill be followed by a networking reception with drinks & snacks from 1730 -
