DESCRIPTION: One year on from the UK's biggest peacetime loss of life in a
  fire for 140 years\, I will be looking at what went wrong and the key eve
 nts leading up to June 14 last year. I'll also discuss what has happened s
 ince and what hopefully will follow so that we can avoid a similar catastr
 ophe in future and set a standard around the world for building fire safet
 y.\n\nDr Jonathan Evans (Churchill 1990) - an EIST graduate\, Jonathan lef
 t Cambridge to work on a semiconductor power device manufacturing technolo
 gy that he'd invented during his PhD. He has had an entrepreneurial career
  in engineering\, largely in the construction sector involving private equ
 ity deals and novel product launches supported by numerous academic collab
 oration projects. His current business Ash and Lacy manufactures metal roo
 fing and cladding systems\, audio and aerospace components. Since the Gren
 fell tragedy\, he has been a Government advisor on cladding technology and
  has briefed Lords\, MPs and much of the media on various aspects of the f
 ire as well as advising on policy guidance resulting from it. He is a Fell
 ow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers and sits on various technical 
 committees relating to high rise building safety as well as the IMechE Con
 struction and Building Services Committee.
