DESCRIPTION:Distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks continue to be pr
evalent nowadays and affect businesses and end-users. The adversaries have
many different ways to attack the target end-host system by exploiting di
fferent protocols and the network infrastructure. No matter the severity o
f the problem\, there is no universal defense mechanism that can mitigate
every attack type. In this work we focus on the link-flood attack and the
effectiveness that different network traffic engineering algorithms have i
nto defending against the link-flood attack.
