DESCRIPTION:Anna Roberts\, Director of Burma Campaign UK\, will be talking
about her campiagn for the protection of human right in Burma\, including
its successes and pit-falls.\n\nThe Burma Campaign UK is part of a global
movement campaigning for human rights and democracy in Burma. Their campa
igns aim to increase economic pressure on the regime by discouraging inves
tment and tourism. They lobby the UK government and the European Union to
increase political pressure on the regime. Burma Campaign UK presently sup

be the perfect opportunity for those interested in the current debates sur
rounding Western involvement in Burma or human rights\, to engage with a r
