DESCRIPTION:I'll give an introductory discussion of logarithmic Sobolev in
 equalities in the framework of finite dimensional quantum mechanics (follo
 wing Kastoryano and Temme)\, and try to motivate why they are interesting 
 and useful in this setting. I'll give a longer version of this introductio
 n at the Workshop on Quantum Functional Inequalities on June 11 in Toulous
 e\, France.
