DESCRIPTION:Machine Learning is the twentieth century’s second original 
 answer to the question: how can we learn useful information from scientifi
 c observations? In this talk I will present the view that there are only f
 our answers to this question in total\, and that Machine Learning is built
  on the distinct idea that prediction and classification are the most effe
 ctive approaches to understanding complex systems\, such as some plants an
 d bioreactors.
