DESCRIPTION:The ever increasing power generation on computer chips and oth
 er electronic and  optical devices\, poses a challenge\nto remove the heat
  and manage the temperature of the device.\nthe current methods\, of free 
 or forced air convection\, are clearly inadequate\, and other options have
  to be examined.\nwe proposed\, i.a.\, cooling the devices by means of  li
 quid flow\, and liquid boiling\, in micro-channels.\nwe shall discuss the 
 peculiarities of boiling in micro-channels\, and the challenges that face 
 the thermal designer.\nthe lecture will be accompanied by high speed video
