DESCRIPTION:In this talk\, I will present a new result on the chemical dis
 tance for percolation of level-sets for Gaussian free fields on metric gra
 phs in two dimensions. I will try to present a sketch of our proof\, which
  is based on analyzing a certain exploration martingale.  Time permitting\
 , I will also discuss some other potential applications as well as related
  open problems. Based on joint work with Mateo Wirth.
