DESCRIPTION:Vaccines are efficacious and cost-effective preventative healt
 hcare measures and a global mainstay in protecting millions from infectiou
 s disease. Dr. Lambe’s research interest lies in the development of effi
 cacious vaccines\, principally toward influenza and emerging pathogens. Vi
 ral vectors have become a vaccine platform of choice for many pathogens th
 at have evaded conventional vaccination approaches. Dr Lambe will discuss 
 the broad applicability of viral vectors as a platform technology with a f
 ocus on their use for the prevention of influenza-mediated disease.
