SUMMARY:Designing Ultra Low Power Sensor Interfaces for the Internet of Th
ings - Dr Arokia Nathan (Cambridge Touch Technologies Ltd)

DESCRIPTION:This talk will review the integration of electronic materials\
, including fully printable organics\, for newly emerging application area
s related to wearables and the Internet of Things. We will discuss the cri
tical design considerations to show how device-circuit interactions should
be handled and how compensation methods can be implemented for stable and
reliable operation. In particular\, the quest for low power becomes highl
y compelling in wearable devices. We will discuss transistor operation in
the different functional regimes\, and review device properties when opera
ted in the leakage regime or near-OFF state\, addressing the pivotal requi
rement of low supply voltage and ultralow power leading to potentially bat
 tery-less operation.
