DESCRIPTION:Optical detection of toxic molecules in air offers many advant
 ages such as high selectivity and robustness\, however the sensitivity is 
 not good enough for many applications. In this talk I will present a techn
 ology that combines nano-materials and optics\, which improves sensitivity
  by several of magnitude. This new method enables miniaturisation and open
 s up new applications for optical sensing such as air quality monitoring\,
  industrial process monitoring and even integration into fridges to detect
  when food goes bad.
