DESCRIPTION:In biology\, localisation is function. Cells display a complex
\nsub-cellular structure with numerous distinct niches responsible for\nsp
ecific biological processes. Consequently\, not only must proteins be\npre
sent in a cell to accomplish their biological functions\, but they\nmust b
e localised in their intended sub-cellular locations. In contrast\,\nmis-l
ocalised proteins can have serious advert consequences. In this\ntalk\, I
will present how contemporary experimental and computational\ntechnologies
can be used to produce proteome-wide proteins localisation\nmaps.
