DESCRIPTION:Let G be a compact p-adic Lie group\, k a field of characteris
tic p. An ongoing project in the representation theory of compact p-adic L
ie\ngroups is classifying the ideal structure of the completed group algeb
 ra\, or\nIwasawa algebra\, kG of G. For G nilpotent carrying a\np-valuatio
 n\, a complete classification for Spec(kG) - the spectrum\nof prime ideals
of kG - has previously been established. We aim to try and\nextend this r
esult to solvable groups. In particular\, for G an\nabelian-by-procyclic g
roup\, we will show that we can obtain an analogous\nclassification for Sp
 ec(kG).\n
