 the trouble? - Phil Bull

DESCRIPTION:21cm intensity mapping is a promising method for conducting la
rge-scale structure surveys over extremely large cosmic volumes\, and out
to high redshift. A series of difficult (and interesting!) technical chall
enges must be solved before its promise can be fully realised\, however. I
will give an overview of recent progress in building\, calibrating\, and
simulating 21cm experiments and the surveys they will conduct\, and weigh
the pros and cons of the method compared with simply building larger spect
 roscopic galaxy surveys.
