 alk we will give an overview of the research at "TCS":http://www.tcs-trddc
 .com/ and the current problems being addressed. TCS is looking to increase
  its collaborations with academia\, and with such goal we are visiting a n
 umber of UK universities looking for long range research programs in areas
  of interest to TCS. We are looking for collaborations\, each\nof the form
  of a joint activity between a research group at a university and a group 
 in the company. We have a number of such collaborations between groups in\
 nTCS and academic partners in different countries and are seeking to exten
 d them further. \n\n*Bio:*\n\nDr Mathai Joseph was an executive director o
 f "Tata Research Development and Design Centre":http://www.tcs-trddc.com/\
 , Pune until March 2007. Prior to joining TRDDC in 1997\, Dr. Joseph held 
 the Chair in software engineering at the Computer Science Dept. at Univers
 ity of Warwick for 12 years and was a visiting professor both at Carnegie-
 Mellon University and at Eindhoven University of Technology. Dr. Joseph's 
 past work and interests range over a wide set of topics from real-time and
  fault tolerant systems to reasoning about program behaviour to building p
 ractical\, reliable software systems.\n\nCurrently Prof. Mathai has retire
 d from the executive position and is an advisor to TCS.
