DESCRIPTION:The talk will highlight several innovations in the fields of c
 omputing and IT including telecommunications networks\, wearable computers
 \, nanotechnology and biometrics. Further\, research in network modeling a
 nd simulation for performance studies will be presented. The application o
 f research approach will be discussed via an example study of UAE Universi
 ty campus network. This study was carried via simulation of topology\, arc
 hitecture and used technologies in the network. We discuss the findings fo
 r different application traffic flows between various parts of network and
  to the Internet. The research project was conducted to develop some what-
 if scenarios to verify the redundancy and reliability features of network.
  These scenarios provided the reliability and performance figures for the 
 network.
