DESCRIPTION:The recent special issue of FEAST journal\, guest edited by cu
rrent CRCLC member Sarah Hardstaff and alumna Dawn Sardella-Ayres\, presen
ted food as a powerful and versatile force in children’s culture. With t
his issue\, we aimed to examine the tension between children as consumers
and children as consumables\, recognising that the figure of the child can
perform as both actor and goal in food-related transactions.\n\nThis even
t brings together contributors to *FEAST: Consuming Children* to discuss t
heir specific contributions and the many meanings of food in children's li
terature more generally. Join us as we talk (and taste!) our way through s
ome of the most delectable moments in children's literature.\n\nhttp://fea
