DESCRIPTION:\nJoin us for BioSoc's first talk of the term! Dr Ines Pineda 
 Torra will be looking at the role of nuclear liver receptors in atheroscle
 rosis and the lessons learnt from mice and humans.\n\nCertain nuclear live
 r receptors act as metabolic sensors for cellular cholesterol and for this
  reason these receptors are considered promising drug development targets 
 for atherosclerosis. Dr Ines Pineda Torra and her team generate unique exp
 erimental models to help develop improved ligands of the nuclear liver rec
 eptors for the treatment of atherosclerosis and other vascular and inflamm
 atory diseases.\n\nEntry is £3 for non-members and free for members!
