DESCRIPTION:The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) was invit
 ed to \nproduce a special report in 2018 on the impacts of an increase in 
 global \nmean surface temperature of 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels\, 
 covering \nboth the climate impacts of a global 1.5°C warming and the emi
 ssion \ntargets required to meet this target. CCfCS has brought together a
 n \nexciting pair of keynote speakers who will discuss this report from th
 e \nperspective of the climate science and the climate policy angles.\n\nP
 rof. Piers Forster from the University of Leeds and Dr Joanna Depledge\, \
 nan Editor at the Climate Policy Journal will be speaking\, followed by a 
 \npanel discussion. Prof. Forster is an author on numerous IPCC reports \n
 including the recent special report on Global Warming of 1.5C. Dr \nDepled
 ge has an extensive background in international climate change \npolitics\
 , and global environmental negotiations. Dr Depledge has been \nfollowing 
 climate negotiations for the past 20 years.\n\nFor more information and to
