DESCRIPTION:Kira is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Media Law and Policy
  at the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies at the University of Oxford. Her re
 search explores how different internet ownership models enable or curtail 
 the realization of a range of human rights\, from the right to free expres
 sion to the right to free choice of work. She studies community-led autono
 mous solutions to internet access\, and her work interrogates how corporat
 ions\, governments\, and individuals develop infrastructural\, regulatory\
 , and political answers to the digital divide. Kira's research interests i
 nclude the political economy of the internet\, the materiality of the inte
 rnet\, and the environmental impact of digital technologies.
