DESCRIPTION:Jess will talk about the efforts of the UK physics community w
 ith recruitment\, progression\, and retention of women at all stages of th
 eir involvement with physics.  Recognising the under-representation of cer
 tain groups\, the Institute of Physics have developed programs which look 
 to identify barriers to participation and to use evidence-based research t
 o create models of good practice that break down these barriers and encour
 age and engage diverse groups.  The flagship activity is Project Juno\, bu
 t other initiatives look to support all scientists in their careers\; incl
 uding people from the LGBTQ+ community and those with disabilities.  Jess 
 will talk about what these programs are and why they are needed.  She will
  also talk about her own campaign to make the internet great again - throu
 gh editing Wikipedia and celebrating the outstanding minority groups alrea
 dy working in science.
