DESCRIPTION:Councillor Lucy Nethsingha will briefly state her stance on Ed
 ucation Policy Design\, before entering a dialogue with a member of the Wo
 lfson College Education Society\, followed by an open discussion. \n\n*Abo
 ut the Speaker*\n\nLucy Nethsingha is the Liberal Democrat Lead for Childr
 en and Young People at the Local Government Association\, and Leader of th
 e Liberal Democrat group on Cambridgeshire County Council. Between 2015 an
 d 2017 Lucy chaired the group re-writing Education Policy for the party na
 tionally\, a policy which was adopted at the Lib Dem Spring Conference in 
 2018.\n\nLucy was a primary teacher until 2015\, specialising in her last 
 post in teaching reading to young children who were struggling. Lucy has a
  MEd degree from Cambridge University\, where her research focus was on ea
 rly identification of Special Educational Needs.  Lucy lives in Newnham wi
 th her husband and 3 children.
