DESCRIPTION:The advances of cryo-EM led to the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in
  2017 awarded for this technique. In what promises to be an exciting talk\
 , Dr Doryen Bubeck explores the role of cryo-EM in our immune system defen
 ces.\n\nHaving carried out extensive research in both Harvard and Oxford\,
  Dr Bubeck now leads a prominent lab in Imperial College London. Starting 
 her research by looking at the entry mechanism for poliovirus\, she now fo
 cuses on exploring host pathogen interactions in a broad sense to also fin
 d how we can harness our immune system therapeutically. \n\nEntry is free 
 for members and £3 for non-members.\nAs always food\, drinks and a nice c
 hat with the speaker afterwards!
