DESCRIPTION:The seminar focuses on research undertaken to provide the Gove
 rnment of Ghana with evidence to support the crucial decision about the co
 ntinuation of the Complementary Basic Education programme.  Our research d
 esign utilised longitudinal mixed methods data\, focusing on children’s 
 learning during the Complementary Basic Education programme\; their transi
 tion into formal school\; and their achievements once they made the transi
 tion into public primary school.  We will present key findings and lessons
  on the uptake of evidence for policy decisions.
