DESCRIPTION:Word sense disambiguation (WSD) is one of the fundamental proc
esses of natural language processing in any language. However\, WSD faces
different conditions when target language has changed from English to othe
r languages. In this talk I introduce some Japanese WSD research and discu
ss the difference of circumstances between English and Japanese WSD. I als
o introduce some other research of mine\, such as Japanese information ext
raction\, named entity extraction\, text categorization\, question answeri
ng\, and a recommendation system. (If I have enough time.)
