DESCRIPTION:Bulk heterojunction organic photovoltaic devices based on P3HT
 /PCBM active layers have achieved\, up until very recently\,  the highest 
 power conversion efficiencies.  In this talk\, the molecular and morpholog
 ical details that contribute to the relatively high performance of this bl
 end will be discussed.  Design principles for the improvement on P3HT as a
  p-type component will be outlined\, and polymer materials that employ the
 se design criteria will be described.  Finally\, a short state of the art 
 review of the current status in device efficiencies will be given.
