DESCRIPTION:Weak lensing by large-scale structure is one of the most promi
sing techniques to learn more about the nature of dark energy by mapping t
he dark matter distribution in the Universe as a function of distance. Wea
k lensing has also developed into the main tool to determine the masses of
collapsed structures\, from clusters to galaxies\, enabling new studies o
f scaling relations. I will review the recent progress in this active area
of research and discuss the prospects for future projects\, such as Eucli
 d.
