DESCRIPTION:The affluence of experimental measurements at the Large Hadron
  Collider opens an unprecedented window onto the internal structure of pro
 tons and nuclei.  In turn\, knowledge of  distributions of quarks and gluo
 ns inside protons is essential for the success of the high-luminosity LHC 
 physics program.  I will discuss progress in the global QCD analysis\, a s
 ystematic approach to determine parton distributions and explore subtle dy
 namic effects revealed by precise collider data. A new generation of parto
 n distributions from the CTEQ-TEA group will be introduced. Advances in QC
 D theory\, experiment\, and multivariate statistics aimed at raising the a
 ccuracy of the parton distributions to the next level will be discussed.\n
