DESCRIPTION:I will touch upon 3 topics of computational biology related to
  my Ph.D work in the first year.\n\nFirstly\, I will talk about inferring 
 population structure from ancestral recombination graphs\, and applying it
  to 70 yeast strains.\n\nSecondly\, I will introduce the factor analysis m
 odel developed by Oli Stegle\, and show how it increases power to detect g
 enotype-gene expression relationships in simulated and real data.\n\nFinal
 ly\, I'll discuss modelling gene expression data for microRNA knockout mic
