DESCRIPTION:Rotating equipment (such as pumps\, fans\, conveyors) contribu
te to the smooth running of modern life\, and failures of this equipment\,
or of the driving electric motor\, is hugely disruptive for industry and
infrastructure. Faraday Predictive monitors the voltage and current drawn
by an electric motor\, and through an analysis of frequencies in these wav
eforms\, tries to predict failures of the driven equipment (thereby minimi
sing disruption). In this talk I’ll present some simple equipment proble
ms which we’ve been able to solve and the methods we use to do it\, as w
ell as an introduction to the much larger body of unknown faults which are
  seemingly impossible to spot.
