DESCRIPTION:The LHC could already be a dark matter factory and we would ha
ve no idea. Key targets in supersymmetry illustrate this pressing problem\
, such as 100 GeV Higgsinos\, whose cross-sections would mean over a milli
on signal events produced to date. But formidable backgrounds obscure its
challenging soft lepton signatures in ATLAS. One interesting proposal uses
the LHC as a photon collider sourced by electric fields surrounding the p
rotons. Tagging intact protons could allow full missing momentum reconstru
ction for the first time at hadron colliders\, opening a new frontier for
 discovering dark matter.
