DESCRIPTION:Trigger systems are a crucial part of high energy physics expe
 riments\, picking out the most interesting events from the flood of data c
 onsisting mostly of high rate background processes. This seminar will cove
 r the ATLAS jet trigger system and its performance and development over ru
 n 2 of the LHC\, as well as an unconventional data recording and analysis 
 method that uses jets reconstructed in the trigger system as the basis for
  a search for dark matter mediators - a step towards "real-time analysis" 
 in ATLAS
