 ideas thrive. As Director of Policy and Chief of Staff\, Ed Whiting plays 
 a leading role in supporting this. He is responsible for influencing polic
 ymakers around the world to support Wellcome’s objectives. \n\nWith his 
 history in public and financial policy\, he is well positioned to support 
 priority areas such as preparing for Brexit\, antimicrobial resistance\, p
 andemic responses and enabling the uptake of new research into technologie
 s that will have a significant positive impact on health.\n\nWe hope you c
