DESCRIPTION:The Cambridge International Development Conference 2019 aims t
 o create a space for students and professionals to connect with those work
 ing at the forefront of international development\; whether formulating po
 licy\, developing new strategies on the ground\, or expanding the academic
  discipline. With an exciting lineup of keynote speakers\, panel discussio
 ns and networking sessions\, this event is definitely not to be missed!\n\
 nThis year's theme is 'Faces of Equality'\, focusing on the people and org
 anisations who work to make the world a fairer and more equal place. Equal
 ity\, or perhaps more accurately inequality\, is without doubt one of the 
 most important issues across the globe today. With the richest 4% of the p
 opulation controlling over 45% of the world’s wealth\, it is clear that 
 a major focus must be placed on finding solutions to tackle this staggerin
 g divide. When considering what constitutes true equality\, economic wealt
 h is just one piece of the puzzle\; the interplay between health\, educati
 on\, geography and technology also cannot be forgotten. \n\nConfirmed Spea
 kers include: \n\n-Baroness Caroline Cox - Founder of the Humanitarian Aid
  Relief Trust\n-Harriet Lamb\, CEO of International Alert\n-Leah Moss - Po
 licy and Advocacy Officer at Plan International\n\nOur 3 Panels throughout
  the day\, themed Women\, Climate\, and Health in Equality respectively\, 
 will provide a change to explore a range of concepts in depth and draw par
 allels between the work done by a range of inspirational organisations. Th
 e Conference will also feature a networking hour\, where a range of equali
 ty-focused societies and organisations will come together to connect with
