DESCRIPTION:Professor Alison Murdoch is the Head of the Department of Repr
 oductive Medicine at Newcastle University\, where she works on the science
 \, ethics\, and legislation of fertility treatments. These include mitocho
 ndrial transfer (so-called 'three parent babies')\, a technique that Profe
 ssor Murdoch was pivotal in developing.  \n\nProfessor Murdoch writes: "As

 cussed on improving clinical treatments for infertile couples. In this rap
