DESCRIPTION:Dr Jakub Szamałek is an award-winning video game writer and n
 ovelist\, born in Warsaw\, Poland\, in 1986. Doctor of classical archaeolo
 gy educated at Oxford and Cambridge Universities and a Cambridge Gates Sch
 olar. Author of a series of crime novels set in ancient Greece\, each of w
 hich was nominated for the Best Crime Novel of the Year at the Internation
 al Crime Festival in Wrocław (“Kiedy Atena Odwraca Wzrok” won the rea
 ders’ award in 2012 and “Czytanie z Kości” the main prize in 2016).
  Principal writer at CD PROJEKT RED\, the Polish game developer behind The
  Witcher 3 – a critically acclaimed title lauded for its exceptional sto
 rytelling\, which sold over 10 million copies worldwide. He was listed amo
 ng the 100 young leaders of Central and Eastern Europe (New Europe 100) by
  the Res Publica Foundation\, Google and Financial Times.
