DESCRIPTION:This informal presentation discusses the effects of our indivi
 dual actions\, decisions\, and personal relationships\, in building a worl
 d civilisation. \n\nDan Wheatley worked in Parliament for five years and i
 s currently employed by the Bahá'í community of the UK as government rel
 ations officer. His work covers defence of Bahá'í communities facing per
 secution\, campaigning on human rights legislation and facilitating interf
 aith action on a variety of policy issues.\nHe studied at a United World C
 ollege in Swaziland Africa before going to Kent University where he read a
  B.A. in Classical Civilization and an M.A. in International Relations. Hi
 s dissertation was on the evolution of multiparty democracy in Zambia. He 
 has published a number of essays on human rights and global governance for
  such organisations as the Foreign Policy Centre\, the Federal Trust and G
 eorge Ronald Publishing.\nHe has travelled in over forty countries and has
  given lectures in Europe\, America and Russia. In July of 1998 he attende
 d the inter-governmental conference to establish the International Crimina
 l Court. He has run two all party Parliamentary Groups and regularly works
  with MPs\, Peers\, civil servants and Government Ministers.\n\n
