DESCRIPTION:In order to explore common research interests with other parti
 cipants\, I sketch various results on the derivation of effective limit mo
 dels for meta-materials with micro-resonators: Arrays of small Helmholtz r
 esonators in acoustics\, plasmonic wave induced perfect transmission\, and
  Maxwells equations in negative index meta-materials. I conclude with some
  comments on cloaking by localized resonance near negative index materials
 .
