SUMMARY:Single Cell Multi-Omics Technologies and Applications - Dr Lia Ch
appell (Sanger) &amp\; Mr Ricard Argelaguet (EMBL-EBI)

DESCRIPTION:Single-cell RNA-sequencing techniques have provided an unprece
dented opportunity to study cellular heterogeneity and lineage diversifica
tion. The simultaneous measurement of multiple omic layers in the same cel
l represent powerful methods for investigating regulatory relationships. S
uch single-cell multiomics technologies can reveal multiple dimensions of
cellular heterogeneity and uncover how this variation is coupled between t
he different molecular layers. \n\nThe first speaker will: \n- Give an int
roduction to widely used and more complex single cell wet lab methods \n-
Explain where the edges of current single cell technology are\, with predi
ctions of next breakthroughs \nThe second speaker will: \n- Introduce a c
omputational framework for the analysis of multi-omics data sets\n- Discus
s how multi-omics can be used to study cell fate decisions during embryoni
 c development\n
