DESCRIPTION:This talk will concentrate on calculating integral group homol
 ogy via fixed\npoints of endomorphisms of a projective presentation\, in a
  few concrete\nexamples. The theory which leads to this is an attempt to d
 efine homology\nwithout projectives in the context of semi-abelian categor
 ies. We define\nhomology as a limit of a certain diagram\, making use of t
 he universal\nproperty of a long exact homology sequence. In the case when
  projective\nobjects do exist\, this leads to looking at endomorphisms of 
 projective\npresentations\, and we demonstrate this method on a few concre
 te examples of\ngroups.\n
