DESCRIPTION:*Abstract:*\n\n*Bio:*\n\nJat is a PhD student in the Opera gro
 up under the supervision of Pr Jean Bacon. He holds a BSc from the Univers
 ity of Western Australia\, and is now researching after several years in i
 ndustry developing medical and judicial support systems.\n\nHe is working 
 on the "CareGrid":http://www.caregrid.org/ project\, where the aim is to d
 evelop middleware for supporting decisions based on trust\, privacy\, secu
 rity and context models in a healthcare application domain.\n\nHis particu
 lar area of interest is in the realm of privacy\, ethics\, trust and secur
 ity as it relates to distributed computing environments. His interest is b
 oth in the social/political aspects of such issues\, as well as the techni
 cal issues of building safeguards into the infrastructure to ensure adhere
