 ich has been serving our science community for over 30 years. Its creator 
 (The Mathworks) is committed to making Matlab as fast as 3GL programming l
 anguages\, like C and Fortran over a number of product releases. How has t
 his been accomplished? What is the most effective way to accelerate your M
 atlab program? This talk will cover the areas related.\n\nResearch: Renewa
 ble Energy and Data Centres\, Sherif Akoush\n\nThere are directions to sup
 ply power for data centres from renewable energy sources like (wind\, sola
 r...). I will illustrate in this talk specific simulations for wind power 
 in UK and how wind intermittency might be solved. I will also discuss wind
  and solar power worldwide and how I could build a simulator to run experi
 ments. Finally\, I will explore some trends in data\ncentres and cloud com
 puting.
