DESCRIPTION:The talk will address the challenges and opportunities offered
  by some post-CMOS devices in terms of new functionality and low power. It
  will focus on the illustration of: (i) the quest for the new electronic a
 brupt switches (tunnel-FET and IMOS/PIMOS) and (ii) the quest for new func
 tionality offered by some non-pure electronic functions (as nano-mechanica
 l integrated functions offered by Movable Gate/Body FET). It will be shown
  that beneficial interactions between the Beyond CMOS and More-than-Moore 
 domains should be considered in the post-CMOS era. The need for accompanyi
 ng the technology and device effort by adapted design and new system archi
 tectures will be shortly discussed and illustrated
