DESCRIPTION:Global climate models used to predict future climate do not in
clude tides in the ocean physics. Dense water formation occurs in ice cove
red seas when brine is rejected from newly forming ice. We investigate the
impact tides have on sea-ice distribution and dense water formation in Ar
 ctic Shelf Seas using a dynamic/thermodynamic sea-ice model coupled to a c
 oastal ocean model.
