 \nThe last decade has been a period of enormous change in patterns of life
  course asset\naccumulation characterized\, in particular\, by rising prop
 erty wealth\, increased mortgage debt\nand inheritance transfers. Research
  from the ILC-UK explores these trends\, as well as related\ntrends in hou

 ndividual Asset Liability Management_\nSet against backdrop of the global 
 pension crisis we consider the concept of individual\nhousehold lifetime l
 ifestyle planning and formulate a model of a household forward plan\nusing
  dynamic stochastic optimization techniques. These include market and life
  event\nsimulation of very long future scenarios of random lengths\, scena
 rio tree structures\,\nautomated major rebalance point placement over the 
 planning horizon\, risk measures relative\nto lifestyle goals and computat
 ional solution techniques. The concepts are illustrated by\nproduction sof
