DESCRIPTION:Having surgery always presents a risk of infection.  Current s
 terilization processes fail to treat many innovative medical devices for m
 inimally-invasive surgery like flexible scopes.  Of every 100 hospitalized
  patients\, 7 will acquire at least one nosocomial infection.  The innovat
 ive device developed by SteriLux enables sterilization of any type of medi
 cal device in a safe\, ecological and cost-effective way.  The environment
 ally friendly process carried out at room temperature and atmospheric pres
 sure\, also contributes to the reduction of hospital waste by facilitating
  the reuse of medical devices that could not be sterilized until now.
