DESCRIPTION:The Zwicky Transient Facility (ZTF) has finished its first yea
 r of routine\noperations. ZTF  industrial-style alerts are now routinely b
 eing digested and analyzed at "brokers" in Europe (Berlin\,  Edinburgh) an
 d Americas (Santa Barbara\, Tucson and Santiago). The project had its firs
 t\nmajor data  release of the public surveys (images\, light curves of dat
 a collected in 2018). Subsequent releases will take place on a 6-month cad
 ence.  In many ways\, for the field of time domain astronomy\, ZTF acts\n
 as a proto-type for LSST. As such future users of LSST (for time domain as
 tronomy) may benefit from  ZTF.\n
