DESCRIPTION:In this talk\, we will discuss  the problem of replacing an in
 tegral norm with respect to a given probability measure by the correspondi
 ng integral <br> norm with respect to a discrete measure.  We study the pr
 oblem  for elements of finite dimensional spaces in a general setting\, pa
 ying  a<br> special attention to the case of the multivariate trigonometri
 c polynomials with frequencies from a finite set with fixed cardinality. <
 br>   Both new results and a survey of known results will be presented.<br
